Hello fellow Potato Dumpling Heads!
How’s your winter going? We’re FINALLY getting some good snow here in the mountains and it’s a white wonderland out there.
This month’s menu is inspired by the day that celebrates love: romantic love, familial love, and friendship love; the Valenetine’s, Galentine’s, Bro-entine’s 3 Course Dinner. Because it’s a special occasion, we’re not doing family style format this month (although you certainly could!).
I love this menu- the flavors and textures are a celebration of winter produce and leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied. We begin with a crunchy salad featuring shaved fennel, mushroom, and watercress, then move into a pillowy ricotta gnocchi atop velvety carrot purée with umami-bomb mushrooms and spinach, and finish with a creamy and crunchy saffron crema catalan with blood oranges.
I hope you enjoy cooking this menu and have even more fun eating it with your Valentines!
When you make it, don’t forget to tag your Instagram pics #potatodumplinghead @potatodumplingsociety so that I can share them and we can see how rad we all are!!!

The Potato Dumpling Society offers us the opportunity to gather with our pals once a month, cook together, drink together, and celebrate that we’re alive, baby! The menu is substantial, so I heartily encourage you to split up the recipes and cook together as a group. But for those ambitious cooks out there, I’ve provided timeline tips to help keep it manageable.
My goal with Potato Dumpling Society is to create a community. To give you an opportunity to gather with your own community once a month and for us, as a whole, to connect with each other virtually (and in-person someday soon- stay tuned for this exciting project in the works!!) and share our enthusiasm for good food, beverage, and curiosity. To that end, I want to nudge you in the direction of getting to know each other by featuring a member each month and writing a menu inspired by them.
